This is a 400 watt MH/HPS light for £39. It says that it doesnt need a ballast, only a wire and a 13 amp plug. Is this a load of shit or is this light worth getting. I thought I had heard of the company 'Lowbay' before.

The ballast is in the lighting fixture. That means it will be a lot heavier to hang up. Also you will have all the heat the ballast creates in your grow room as well as that from the light. Ballasts create a lot of heat. Digital ones are better but at that price it's definately not digital.

I don't know what the conversion rate is for pounds to dollars but I think it's about 1 pound to 2 dollars. That would make the light about $80. If that's true then that's a really good deal.

Beware of really good deals! lol

If you can deal with the issues I said above then get the light.
