Growing in Ohio? I'm new
DON'T INCLUDE YOUR FRIENDS!!!!! Where in Ohio are you? North south central?
I've grown in the central Ohio area for years, south is better, north I have no idea.
Get out and hike, and then get off the beaten path. Don't plant in a "party" area. You should start seeds in jiffy pots, trans plant to slightly larger containers. After you've found what you think is a hidden place.....think middle of a bryer patch.....go out and plant your babys. Ohio has such great growing places....great soil.....plenty of water.....it just takes some work. I've harvested 12'-14'er's. Just remember ya gotta water them.....
#1-Find a hidden spot
#2-Get out and find it now not later after it's too late
#3- Start plants early, inside, before the last frost. Like late Feb. early March
#4-TELL NO ONE....
#5-Read everything you can about it.
#6-SSShhhhhhhhhhhhhhh TELL NO ONE
#7-Alway carry a fishing pole or something to give you a reason for being where you are.....I always carried a dog leash. If some one asked...."I'm looking for my dog"
#8-Act normal, like your supposed to be there.
#9-TELL NO ONE, NO MATTER HOW NICE YOUR PLANTS LOOK/ARE.
#10-Try to get some good seeds.
I'm really saying look for huge bryer patches.....Ohio has them everywhere. They are a bitch to get into, but that keeps the others from crawling into your hidden spot.
Just get out and look around, off the beaten path<------this is critical.
Good luck
Peace
