#3: Toxic salt buildups are nutrient buildups. This happens when you water, and there is no drainage. No drainage=buildup of nutes, which can stunt growth, and "lock" your plants of nutrients. That means no nutes will get through, and they will build up, killing your plant. So when you water/feed, ame sure you have good drainage when you water.

The second #3 : If you are looking for short cycle plants, look for anything that is Indica dom.. They tend to have shorter flowering cycles.

#4: As for nutes, any brands pretty much, except Miracle Grow. It is not the right formula for resin producing plants, but will work half assed.

Now there are 3 diff. stages of growth for a plant: Germinating (requires no ferts), Vegetative, and Flowering. The second and third steps you need to use food so the plant can reach it's full potential and live.

For the vegetative growth, the plant needs something high in N (N-P-K). Those are the 3 numbers of the container. Some examples are 5-1-1, 8-7-6.

For flowering stage, you must use something high in P. Some examples are 10-15-10, 15-30-15, 10-51-10
