Syrian Rue contains Harmala alkaloids. Harmala is a short acting (6-7 hours) Mono amine oxidase inhibitor, also you can use the ayahuasca vine (B. caapi) which contains harmala alkaloids too, and was used traditionally by the shamans of south america if you think that serves any importance. DMT is a monoamine, it'll get broken down by the various monoamine oxidases found in the gut, and intestinal tract and loose its psychoactivity. Foods high in tyramine i.e. cheeses and other food which has possible protein degradation due to aging (plus any food which contains pressor agents, or precursors to neurotransmitters, like Dopa), should be avoided, because tyramine is another monoamine, which is toxic to the body, this will cause hypertensive state, and in rare cases death.
