Building a grow room! (Need Advice)

I'll be starting at ground floor, with absolutely nothing. I'm not sure how big to build it, either. It should be big enough to flower 10 Sativa's. Maybe 5'x5'x7'? I'll also be building a veg box for a mother and future clones, and again, not sure how big to build it?

How big does my exaust fan need to be, also? I was thinking about a Dayton 465 cfm squirl cage blower, and some sort of carbon filter for exhaust.

Lights, I figure for flowering a 1000 watt hps, and for veg a 600 watt mh, not sure about what kind of lights to use for the veg/clone box, though? Then again, I'm not certain if the lights I mentioned would be proper for 10 plants in flowering?

I have no idea how much all this will cost me, or where the best place is to order on-line. Money 'is' an issue, but I want to do it right. It may take a few months for me to complete the room.

For sativa's keep it tall...like to the roof.that exaust fan will work great with a carbon filter...without one it is stronger then you need,but it can never be too strong(you want the fan to replace the air within 5 minutes)
Flower with 1000w HPS and veg with 400-600 MH.Get some floro's for the seedling's.Sprouting under HID's is not for beginners...I'm doing it mas we speak and it's a bitch.
So make your room at least 6x6 and all the way to the roof.
