Lighting Question
Actually, CFL's are amazing lights that require no special fixture.

As for wattage, that depends on how many plants you plan to grow, and the space you have.
To have a successful grow, you need, at least, 50w per/sq/ft of lighting. So, if you have a 4ft x 4ft space, you will want a min. of 400W of CFL's.
