Why did you start?

Why did you start smoking bud and doin other drugs? What turned you on and made you think for yourself, instead of listening to the school and the propoganda?

For me, i actually got interested because of DARE (which is a school anti drug program). When they started saying things like "acid makes you see pictures in your head", i was like woah that sounds pretty cool.

and "does anyone know what a dilusion is? You may think you are a dog" - sounded pretty cool to me. I knew a guy who smoked alot and I went up to him and said "hey can i try weed with you?" and sure enough, ive been smoking ever since. Best choice i ever made.

I probably would have started without DARE, but since it was started in 6th grade it got me started earlier than I would have. Pretty ironic, huh.

i started smoking weed cause when i was in 6th grade my older brother came to me and said "come outside man" then we toked up before that day i prolly never even thought about it, i smoked ciggarettes occasionally so i wasnt ever against drugs my whole life

i was actually getting high 2 years before i ever got drunk.
i dabled in pills cause i wanted to get fucked up
took shrooms cause i wanted to see things in a new way
took acid cause i wanted to see things in a new way
took ecstasy because its the love of my life

everything else ive done is just to see what its like, you know kinda branching out into new territories, exploring my options

I was never peer pressured or tried to look cool type person for when i started drugs
when my brother got me high I was like whatever.

after that initial pot smoking i started to look alot into em and found them to be very interesting, all my exploring of drugs has always been because i wanted to do em.

When my parents kicked me out of home 3 years ago my friend shotued me weed saying it would help . That was the first time I got stoned but I had smoked before, it didnt do anything and had no intention of smoking again until after that (Even though it really fucked me up). Been open minded towards drugs ever since

i, from a young child had always had an interest in marijuana. from the point i found i out that my cousin smoked it, i had always dreamt of indulging in the drug myself. i remember never saying that i wouldn't smoke marijuana, because well, like i said, i'd always wanted to try it. my first encounter was in middleschool. a friend of mine sold me a blunt for five dollars. it never got into my hands, main reason being that my dad came outside when the transfer was going down. i panicked and told my friend that he could keep it.

i finally smoked a joint with another friend of mine in the eighth or ninth grade. i don't remember inhaling the smoke, but the first time i got high was with my bestfriend, in the latter years of my ninth grade year. i was dropping the blunt in the sand and we were laughing at it. ever since then i've been fond of the drug/herb. i've never lost my love for the majestic plant, but i have lost my "addiction", so to speak. in other words, i don't get the urge to smoke. i remember fiending for a smoke at other moments of sobriety, but as of recently i haven't felt that way.

other drugs, such as ecstacy followed later. i've been open to illicit (i don't consider marijuana illicit) drugs ever since, though i may not indulge in them anymore.

welllll....as a kid i was always against drugs, drinking and smoking. it was just the way i was brought up lol. i was always told how bad they were and how to never touch them and stuff. Really the first time i got drunk i realised how weird it feels to experience something different to my normal perception. Soooo yeah ofcourse i was attracted to the thought of trying mary jane. One day i bought $10 from a friend and tried it, it was incredible So yeah...... :dance: here i am now...a stoner...

I was never anti-drugs growing up, I was just afraid of trying them. You hear all the crap going around about drugs; about how they "make you stupid" or "you will overdose."
Thus, I never tried smoking weed until I was 24! After going through a bad breakup, I was feeling young and rebellious again. One of my good friends was in town for the weekend and asked me to ride to the store with him. On the road he lit one up and said "you can try it if you want." I was finally to the point where I felt "Why not see for yourself?"
I was so high I couldnt drive the rest of the night
Come to think of it, maybe thats why the girl I mentioned probably left. Her and her friends were occasional pot smokers and they probably thought I was a geek or a narc when I declined

i started smoking pot cause i wanted to lose reality, and clear my mind... thats why i still smoke it.

havent tried any other drug, only cause i havent got my hands on it...yet

I suppose smoking crack at 3 years old made me use marijuana.

the first drug i tried was alcohol when i was 13 i got shitfaced on alot of greek wine cuz i was visiting. was parents were hippies smoked alot of pot and sold it so it was always around but because of the kids do the opposite thing i never wanted to smoke 1 time me and my friends toked up a bowl but i didnt get high (i didnt know i was high)
and i never tried pot again till i was 18 when i graduated computer school i celabrated by getting a 20 and it was laced i got stoned and i havnt stopped smoking since. acid, mushrooms, and meth, extasy came after. i love drugs

At 12-13, I started with soft-core pills and shit because I wanted a new mind set and wanted to live up to my 'badass' status in jr.high.

Late 13, I started drinking because I started hanging out with my almost step-sister and her and her friends drank often.

Half way to 14, I started pot because I didn't want to be me anymore.
(Now I'm in love with Mary Jane while still being able to love myself.)

Now, I want to do others because I want the experience and I love things that feel good (I mean, who doesn't?)..


I was never raised to believe that drugs are really "bad" exactly, more that because they're against the law I shouldn't do them and while they're not encouraged in my house they're tolerated.
