I recently was givin info on how much it costs to run all the power strips in your home that are on 24/7. Feel how warm the little power things plugged into a strip are. Anything generating heat is raising your bill much more than you might think! I started turning them off when they're not in use. I don't know if that means an eletrical spike can then fry your computer, etc. or not...

At this point, I'd rather fry my computer than have my local friendly cop at my door!
