Because The Ultimate Warrior wanted to make a special entrance by making a trap door in the ring. The reason for this was that Ultimate Warrior was having a feud with nWo and he would have smoke coming out the ring so nobody could see him appearing through the trap door in the ring. The British Bulldog would get severly injured when he fell on the trap door and he would become addicted to painkillers which cut his life short.

So if Ultimate Warrior hadnt of been a attention seeker and WCW hadnt gone with his idea then British Bulldog might have been around today.
