Just broke out of the dirt today.

I gremed 3 seeds in a glass using a wet paper towel. This one broke open so I put it about 1 inch under the dirt in a standard 4 inch pot.

Right now I've got it setting on a window seal. Do I need to already it under a light ?

Good Good..! Where is the plant standing? You're probably losing alot of light..! Don't get the light to close in seedling stage, but don't get it to far away though!

i didnt think you needed light till it sprouted, but hell if i know, good luck on your first grow youll have fun and wanna do it again and again, you may wanna plant some more, which you probly are. happy growin, and good luck.

looks good VGER.. keep the soil moist.. not muddy just moist.. the first root to come out of a seed is the TAP root.. you want to make sure this stays a moist during the first week after germination..

your light looks good and at the correct distance

you will enjoy this its a buzz smokin some shit that you made yourself , i done the flood and dry method as i couldnt be sure i could be home to water it every day ,you just flood your plant and let it dry out it takes about three to four days you just look at the top of the soil until it looks dry stick your finger and it sould be dry down about an inch then you soke it again ,a good way to tell it need water is the weight of the plant when it needs watered it gets very light you will know whem it needs water it worked well for me just an idea

The cat ate 3 of the 4 leafs on the plant today when the light was off. Do you think its going to be ok ?

On the good side I've got 4 new tomates gemred and planted today.
