Simple growing technique I used in college dorm

So I wanted to try and find a way that I could grow a seed without needing to water it, and be able to stash it easily, or leave it somewhere for a month or so without maintaining it. What I did, and this produced usable weed, was take a bottle and filled it up with water. Then I got a plastic soda bottle, cut the bottom off, put it upside down, and connected its mouth to the mouth of the bottle with the water in it. Then I filled the inverted bottle top with soil and some organic fertilizers (actusally used crushed up bugs and a multivitamin), and planted three seeds. They all sprouted and grew a bit, I asked a friend which one was the best possible female, and plucked out the other sprouts and ate them. Then the remaining plant grew for a good while. I actually gave it to somebody else to care for, and then smoked some of it with that person the next semester. The roots grew down into the water part, so there wouldn't be any way to transplant it.

that dosent sound too good, im supprised it didnt rot the plant.

Yeah the roots looked kind of nasty.
