Using colored gels or painted bulbs does nothing to alter the light spectrum.Ive heard of these green bulbs for flowering, but have no idea how they produce that spectrum because just painting the bulb does nothing as the plants still see the light spectrum that passes thru the paint.Urban myths die hard.-usdi Agaluga

What she did was take 3 plants and put 3 different colored translucent sheets over them. There was a green one, a red one, and a blue one. Although I cannot remember the outcomes of the red and blue plants I do remember that the green one was doing very horribly. She said it was because the plant was green and had no use for green light. I figured that having this Rating: 5
