Some mushrooms are only blue because they have been overhandled. The more they are handled, especially during drying, the psilocybin oxidizes, and they may lose potency. But some strains turn blue because they have such high amounts of active chemicals in the to start with. I don't think any strain of psychedelic mushrooms are blue naturally, some of the chemicals have to oxidize through handling or drying first. So you kinda have to know what strain they are before you can decide whehter the blue ones have lost potency or are just really potent. For example, cubensis that are blue have most likely been overhandled. Cyanescans are a very potent strain and all of the batches of them that I have seen dried are blued. So, in short, you need to know more than whether they're blue or not to determine which are better.
