    alcohol shock

is it possible for somebody to get kind of an "alcohol shock" during the 1st year or so of trying alcohol until the body gets used to it?

Im 18, (sheltered life lol) only tried alcohol for the 1st time a few months ago and i only have it once in a wile, would this cause abnormal effects like intense hangovers and weird dizziness? I know thatâ??s normal, but i get it every time i have just a few, and I thought maybe the hangovers get less and less worse as you drink more regularly.

it's hard to say... the severity of my hangover is dependent on how drunk i am when i fall asleep usually. so even if i get totally wasted, if i sober up a bit before bed my hangover is not as bad. i can't really think of a distinct difference in how alcohol has affected me from when i started drinking until now, but then again i've only been drinking for like a year.

Yeah you do build a tolerance... make sure your eating food before you drink, not right before but eat food that day, and it depends on your size

The more you drink, (Over time) the more tolorance you build to alcohol. When I first started drinking, I'd get totaly bent, and always woke with a hangover. It didn't take much, either. Of course, I wieghed in at about 114 lbs when I started, and that probably had something to do with the amount of alcohol I could consume before getting completely totaled. Nowdays, I drink a little whiskey on the weekends, but rarley over a pint. I still get a good buzz of of it, though.

Over time you will build up a tolorance, and it will take more to get you buzzed. Be happy, man! You're a cheap drunk.

you either throw up before going to sleep, or what you consider wasted isn't wasted because anybody who has ever really drunk before knows that you have never been drunk until you have been on the floor with your head in a toilet saying "I never want to drink again"

the first time i drank i woke up in the passenger side of my own car covered in vomit parked in the walmart parking lot.

to avoid hangovers dont go to bed drunk. when your done drinking wait an hour or 2 to sober up a little before you go to sleep. your body cant dispose of the toxins found in alcohol nearly as well when your asleep when your awake, and thats why you get hangovers. drink alot of water too.
