Outsourcing is a fact of life.

There's an international economic principle that states that, given no restrictions, each country will tend to use the resources(labor, raw materials, brain power, etc) that are most abundant in that country while taking opportunities away from countries lacking in those resources. While, in the short term, this may prove to be detrimental to a country who is lacking in those resources, eventually this works out to the maximum benifit of all countries. Each country does what it does best. Restrictions to free trade, however, while in the short term may appear to be beneficial are,in fact, detrimental in the long run.

I can't remember the name of the principle (I took IntEc something like 10 years ago) but do remember that it is pretty much a proven fact. Not some way out theory. While I don't agree with anything good 'ol GW does, and disagree with 99% of Amsterdam's neo-con propoganda, I got to agree with the right on this one.

I wonder how many politicians out there have ever taken an economics class. Given some of the shit I hear coming from the Left, and the Right, I'd wager to say not too many. Maybe this should be a requirement for all politicans above the local mayor level. Their first year in office they have to spend at least 1 hr a day in college level econ classes. No, that would never work. We like our politicians to be stupid. Bush is proof of that fact.
