Yeah man, you have to report her, but you also need to protect your ass.

The basement of a duplex would be a common area, so if they arrest her they have every right to search it. They MIGHT not find it, but given the penalty if they do its not worth taking a chance. Move em, or just scrap this grow and start up again after shit blows over. If the cops find it, you can bet they'll do it for you.

I'd probably be scared of her too. Abusive moms get pissed when you try to seperate tehm from their kids. But you've got to do what's right for those kids, because otherwise they'll just turn out to be screwed up adults who abuse their own kids. The cycle continues until someone breaks it.

I'd report her for the Section 8 and welfare violations as well, but maybe that's jsut me.

I have a pretty well disguised grow going on in the basement. My duplex neighbor is a welfare frauding child abusing angry person. She has a husband and 3 kids. Both working full time under the table. Got food stamps, section 8, health insurance, the whole lot. Her 2 oldest are rarely seen, 8 and 10. Her baby, 2 years old I saw for the second time today with a big red slap mark on his cheek. She told me she smacked him. I am Rating: 5

Do both parents beat the kids or just the mother?

If its both id be concerned about reporting it cause you could seriously break up the family, but if its just the mom go report her! They would most likely put her in jail or some place where she can learn to be a loving mother. Either way those kids deserve not to be hit. You could possibly confront her about it and talk with her, but then again i dunno.
