    Temp prob.

Do not see this guy. Depending on where you live the majority of illegal drug production is inteded for gangs. I'm not saying this guy might be in a gang, but he probably knows what the consequences of being caught growing would be. Some people might take this overboard. Nothing would contribute to talking to the person whos house has plants. Resist your temptations of being close to a fellow plant grower and just leave that subject alone. Also, about your temp probs. Completely ignore what I told you and go with what HARDDON said. Lead doesn't allow anything through it and this "nothing" includes the light waves that thermal vision uses. 75 degrees is perfect for your plants so just add the lead drywall completely around your grow area and you'll be fine. Goodluck.
Da1KrayzieThug Reviewed by Da1KrayzieThug on . Temp prob. Hey guys, I got a temp problem and need to ask you guys a question. So the temp in my grow room is about 75 deg with 800w HPS. To reduce 75deg to 40-50 would I install a cool air hood for the HPS and a couple fans? The reason in doing so is that it has been really tight up here now that cops have been using thermal heating over house's to bust fairly large grow rooms, I want mine to stay about average if not a little bit higher. After all, this is my 9 clone room and I dont want it to Rating: 5

    duh.

If this is really a concern, your single best bet is to install drywall that contains lead. Its the same drywall used in doctors offices with xray machines.

You would have to build a box with this lead based drywall and that is really all you can do.

Hot air coming from the vents outside could be a dryer, a bathroom fan, anything.

There are specific color temps they look for and white is the telltale trigger color.

NOW, if you have an air conditioner blowing right onto the bulbs, that would reduce the heat signature but not the heat the filament itself is creating.

The signature of HID lighting is pretty hard to miss....lead drywall and concrete / brick is the only way to trap it...that I am aware of.

Hey harddon, nice to see you again.

On other news that grower I found more out and yes he is part of a gang like you all thought, and no I am not going over there.

I dont think it will be easy trying to explain to people on why the steam is coming out of my house all the time and constantly. Steam up here is clearly visible and Im sure if you ketch the smell in the steam that alone might be enough to get me. Im not saying that a dryer or a bathroom fan could do this 24/7, but why would anyone run there bathroom fan or dryer 24/7 ya know? Looks a bit suspicious.

In other term, harddon could you explain into further detail on what this lead drywall does? Does it reflect the thermal waves right back producing a regular home heat?

Also, what should be the dimensions of the hole I am going to cut into the side of my house for the exhaust as I do not feel comfortable to put it through a window. Id rather cut a whole in my wall and purchase one of those dryer grate things you put over your dryer for the exhaust.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions/opinions and please keep them comming as this project will.

vent your heated air coming from your lights into the attic with a carbon filter at the end. you will have to cut a hole out which can be patched up later. the carbon filter will take care of the smell

I cannot use an attic as I do not live in a regular sized house ya know, I live in a trailer and its not exactly easy to be just cutting out holes.

Although what I could do is fake something along the lines of a chimney ya know? and vent it out that way, oh thanks mobay for that wonderfull idea.
