hey owl,,Why are you filling up at the store?
is your PPM to high straight from the tap?
HAve you ever used straight tap water?
you should post your general location and see if anybody else has grown succesfully in your area with tap water...
I have a filter I got for 125 bucks on the net.. Had to get it cause the water in my parts comes out of the tap at 242 ppm's... and you can not grow aeroponicly with this HARD ass water.. I tried.. the plants do fine for the first 2-3 weeks and then its OVER.. and you can actually see stuff building on he roots.. like LIME deposits
the filter is great... here's the problem... for every 3 gallons of water it makes, it throws out 7 gallons.. YIKES.. that means I was wasting a shit load of water..
keep us updated.. is you want the name of the filter i used I will dig it out.. BTW- it took my ppm's down to 7...WOW
