Drying the harvest
Here is how I read on the internet to process for sweet, smooth, clean burning tomatos...
1. Cut the bud at your desired location. DO NOT CUT OR TRIM AT THIS POINT EXCESS FOILAGE. The leaves still contain saccharides which need to assist in the sustainment of THC production.
2. HANG IN DARKNESS! Do not expose your fresh buds to light anymore than is needed.
3. After two days, carefully, in dim light, spend some time cutting all the fans as close to the stem as possible.
4. Hang in dark 2 more days.
At this point the buds will feel crunchy and dry...but they are not. DOn;t be fooled.
5. Now cut all unwanted stems and place in brown paper bags, loosley, and roll the bag up. Keep in dark.
6. Every day, open the bag and let it air out for about 10 minutes. Re roll it shut. DO this for 5 days.
7. At this time all external moisture is gone and the stem will bend easily...but still be too green to snap.
8. I then place the buds in jars and leave them in darkness. You will have no mold issues at this time. Simply remove the top every other day. Let stand for 5 minutes or so...reseal and redo in 2 days.
The longer you do this the smoother the smoke, the less weed / hay smell and the natural oils will over take the green smell and your tomatos will smell as GOD intended them to.
Many ways to cure...this is just one I read on the net.
