Drying the harvest
So I have cut down one of my plants from my first grow. I am in the process of drying it. I have the colas hanging on hangers from the shower rod and the loose buds laying on a screen across the tub in the bathroom.
I cut it down and trimmed it Monday night and kept a fan blowing in the bathroom (not directly on the buds) with the door closed 24 hrs since I hung it. The thermometer/humidity gauge I have says it's 70 degrees and 50% humidity.
I have never dried MJ like this or anyway for that matter but my girlfriend who has seems to think the buds are drying to quick. However the stems still bend, no cracking yet. But the outside of the buds seem "crunchy". Is this OK? They have only been drying for 2 days. How should the buds appear or feel to touch as they dry and how long should it take for them to dry under the conditions I have.
