Okay, I'll try to give you a staight answer. But first, because you have lied to us and I am very suspicious of you, I must tell you this. I do not advocate the smoking or cultivating of marijuana. I am not a user of marijuana, nor am I a distributor or a grower of cannabis. Any previous posts you might have read from me contradicting this statement are fictitious statements. Just in case you are a LEO (law enforcement officer, which I think you very well might be), this is for my own protection.

To answer your question about which strains are indica and which are sativa, you just have to ask a reputable and honest seed bank or dealer what the strain is. The reason I can't tell you which ones are which is because if I did, then I'd probably be here for about a week trying to find out myself. This is a direct quote from the above book mentioned:

At the moment there are approximately 450 seed varieties of
Cannabis on the market today. Out of the 450 seed varieties, 200 are
worth looking at and out of the 200 varieties about 50 or so are
outstanding. Each strain is either a pure species type (taking 2 plants
of the same species and crossing them) or a crossbreed of two or more
species (taking 2 plants from different species and crossing them).
Out of the 450 seed varieties we said that 200 where good.
This leaves 250 left. Those 250 are usually very unstable crossbreed
strains. These complete hybrids plants are mixed so much that they
can not be classified at either Sativa or Indica.

450... thats a fucking lot. That is why no one can tell you exactly. Also, as it mentions, there are mixes of Sativa and Indica. It goes on to say:

Most hybrids do not last long on the market and are primarily
found only among breeders who are experimenting with their plant’s
genetics. Seed producers tend to only produce the following strain
categories. Some Hybrids can be excellent though!
PURE SATIVA (This is a pure species)
SATIVA (This is a mostly Sativa species with some Indica)
PURE INDICA (This is a pure species)
INDICA (This is a mostly Indica species with some Sativa)
INDICA/SATIVA (This is a 50/50 cross between a Sativa and an
Indica species)
They also produce:
RUDERALIS (This is a pure species)
And some other Ruderalis mixes. However Ruderalis is a
problematic plant. It does not produce large quantities of THC, nor
does it flower like the other varieties. Ruderalis is considered substandard
by most growers because it flowers according to age and does
not flower according to the photoperiod.

So there are really six different species of cannabis. Though the two most common are Sativa and Indica. I wouldn't worry about even trying to find Ruderalis, or researching it much, as almost no one smokes it. As stated above, the high isn't that strong and the plant is very problematic and hard to grow.

Personally, I think you're one of three things. A law enforcement officer, who's trying to figure out who grows, or see if anyone will offer to sell you cannabis on this site, which they will not.

-or-

A person who is thinking about dealing, and is trying to gather some information about cannabis. Information which is very basic, and can be found easily using the search function or other methods.

-or-

A beginning user who has just started and is ashamed of smoking because he was brought up to believe cannabis use is WRONG and/or SINFUL. Which it is not in my humble opinion.

If you are the second option, I suggest you search for your answers thoroughly before posting basic questions on the forum. You will save yourself from getting a lot of flames, and save us a lot of time. (Hey look it's 4:20 :stoned:... by the way, that's fictitious too ). If you're interested in growing I recommend you read the above mentioned book. It will be aimed at the beginner grower and also the broke grower, though expensive techniques will be covered in a different section. Also, I recommend you read the articles, FAQ, and forums at www.overgrow.com They are an excellent resource for growing.

If you are the third option, I recommend you quit lying to yourself and others (who won't persecute [family], or prosecute you [LEOs]) and just accept the fact that you're enjoying something some people consider wrong. That doesn't make it wrong, that's just their opinion. If you think someone would be offended by you smoking marijuana, here's what you do.... DON'T FUCKING TELL THEM! There, I think that's simple enough.

I'm not flaming you, I'm just trying to give you advice. And here's my last bit, don't lie to us. We can always figure out who's lying and who's not. Karma will bite you in the ass. I, or a member of this site might not be the one biting, but eventually it will all come back on you.
