I had a setback because the container I was using for the ferment turned out to not have an air tight seal, so instead of making alcohol it made vinegar . A new air tight container has been obtained and I've started over. I guess it wasn't a waste because I learned something: always check to make sure the container is air tight.

I've been busy with a lot of projects and such, but now I'm making the ol' white lightning. The still's done been built and the mash is a fermentin'. It should be a week for the ferment to finish, a couple days to finsh 2-3 seperate distillations and filterings and I'm planning on aging with charred oak cubes for a few weeks, along with a few other tricks to smooth it out to make a nice drinkin whiskey!
