I agree about the openness. My kids have been pretty open about that stuff with me and the spousal unit. And we have been open with them about our views, values and expectations of them. So far it's been a pretty good run, no one arrested, (ok, one of the sons "forgot" to pay a ticket and went in to pay it one day late,same day the bench warrant was to go in to effect, got a bit lippy with the judge who could have let him pay and leave but slapped his ass in the clink for the day,...and yes we bailed his ass out).
But no matter how open they are, they never tell you everything. Especially when it comes to a sexual assault.
My advice to you as a 14yr old, hold her hair when she pukes but don't bang her unless she's sober and willing or you'd better hope the cops find you before her big brothers do.
