Mohawks used to stand for something. Then Rancid made Indestructable, Simple Plan came out, and all it takes to be punk is knowing the directions to Hot Topic. Hardcore = wannabe metal (and wtf is up with sXe). lol @ modern punk movement.

I wouldnt say I am a punk, more off a FREAK!
I got my ears stretched, just pierced my cartlidge at a 12ga, and PA in addition to the hawk. All self done, and all at 16 years old.
But I dont dress hardcore punk, just like jeans and a T work for me.The one with the Metal Wang. 8===>

Yeah, punk in the sense that you are speaking of is nearing extinction.
But there are still a few proud punks out their repping for ya.
Me, however, I like to let the marbles roll a little, so NO tight pants...

I prefer tight pants actually to baggy, more comfortable and stuff doesnt fall out of the pockets when running from the cops hehe... but yea punk the day it was born whenever that was back in the 60's or 70's was already bigining to die, anything that is born on rebellion is only going to end up dead cause either you lose the rebellion or win it and once that happens what left is there to do? In punks case they lost and ended up being raped by the american consumerism and american teenager

i dont think the punks dead, because they never changed who they were for anyone, no one can take that away and thats what punk is all about. I dont believe they are here to change the world, just to live there lives by there own rules, not giving in, doing what they want.
could be wrong though?
