Since I am only using one bucket, I'm putting a fountain pump 130 gph inside the swc with hydroton rocks in a net pot. If you are doing more than one plant then you will need a larger container to hold the roots. I will be using a 2 gallon container inside the 33 gallon container as the reservior. The important thing is water circulation, beneficial bacteria, ph and ppm. I am not using a control bucket. People use control buckets so it's easier to check ph, ppm and add water and nutrients. It's hard to lift a scrog with a plant to get to the roots and reservoir underneath.

Turtle is right about superthrive.
I'm actually looking for the plants to be about 3-4 feet. BtW, what's a SWC? I've never heard that one before.

I've always liked the DWC's but I recently read that if you don't use a control bucket that it becomes a big problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, I have a qeustion about superthrive. Is it supposed to be used as a nute or is it suposed to be used along with nutes? Thanks in advance. Rating: 5
