Thug this is my humble opinion. How large are your plants going to be? If you are going to grow miniature plants. say 3 feet tall approx. Then you can get away with swc. I'm doing a 33 gallon plastic container grow for 1 plant with scrog. This has been done before so check out Nimby''s post on www.overgrow.com. Since I am only using one bucket, I'm putting a fountain pump 130 gph inside the swc with hydroton rocks in a net pot. If you are doing more than one plant then you will need a larger container to hold the roots. I will be using a 2 gallon container inside the 33 gallon container as the reservior. The important thing is water circulation, beneficial bacteria, ph and ppm. I am not using a control bucket. People use control buckets so it's easier to check ph, ppm and add water and nutrients. It's hard to lift a scrog with a plant to get to the roots and reservoir underneath.
