try putting them in a couple of paper towels or cotton.( i find cotton works best )
then use a clean water mister (water bottle with spray fixture) and spray the paper towels until quite damp...but not soaking. there should be no or very little water on the bottom of your container. note container should be airtight.
then place your container in a dark warm area and your seeds will start rooting
(you will notice a white main root) wait till the root has got almost an inch long, then you can plant them in soil... root pointed down.
the rooting of seeds can take anywhere between 3 days to 2 weeks.
this is just another method, but it works for me.
    good luck with your grow...peace

Germination is easy...Take a paper towel, or even better, a soft cloth, wet it, ring it out so that its still wet, but not dripping. Place the seeds in the center. Fold it in half, and in half again if neccessary. Place the cloth in a ZIPLOC baggy. Press it down before you close it to make sure theres no air in it. Check on it after 2-3 days. Put the seeds in the soil. Root up or root down, it doesnt matter. Trying to reduce the male/female probability is silly. Its a 50/50 chance no matter what you do. If you get a male, youll just have to replant...Good Luck bro..

lol, i feel that wake n bake. You are right dude, i wasnt saying you werent. It does have an influence on the stress factor of the plant. However, its a very small factor compared to how the plant grows once it sprouts. Thats where the stress factors really come into play with the male/female outcome. But like you said, if he really wants a male plant, the more stress, the better the chances. But really its still a 50/50 shot...

It doesnt matter. I just learned that its genetically predetermined. Root up or root down its a 50/50 shot no matter what you do..Try it though, u never know i guess...Good luck.
