cannabutter in a crockpot?

hey so my plan for making brownies got kinda screwed up. it now looks like i might not be able to make em at my friends house, which means i would have to make them at my house, with parents home usually, or at least make the cannabutter here. (btw im using vegetable oil instead of butter). ok so heres my question. If i put the weed and the oil into a slow-cooker crockpot, and let it do its thing like all day, will it work and will it smell? has anyone tried this? if i did this i would prob put it in my closet in my room, bc the crockpot only uses an electric plug. so if anyone has any experience with this technique, could you let me know? if there is any noticeable smell outside my room, im busted and it will not be pretty. ive also considered duct taping the crockpot lid onto the crockpot while its cooking, and duct taping the closet shut so no air can get out.

well, it doesn't have to sit all day. Only like 15 minutes, you'll have to keep stirring it.

Got about 20 minutes w/ prep? Do it then on the stove.
