Take a close look at your weed with a magnifying glass. If you see any mold do NOT smoke it. Most weed that comes into america is at least 1-3 years old. Thats why it's brown. Cannabis does have a shelf life unless its made into hash, or oils. It may be smokable, but it may not be as good as you remembered.

Really, I've seen plenty of brown weed; in fact I fondly remember everytime I've smoked brown weed. It was always great.
