Bush Advisor Says President Has Legal Power to Torture Children

perhaps you're just an idiot...i'm sorry it's not worth your time to hear what john yoo said...not alex jones...can you repeat...john yoo...

Cassel: If the President deems that heā??s got to torture somebody, including by crushing the testicles of the personā??s child, there is no law that can stop him?
    Yoo: No treaty.
Cassel: Also no law by Congress. That is what you wrote in the August 2002 memo.
Yoo: I think it depends on why the President thinks he needs to do that.

So what Bush's advisor is trying to say is... Bush has the legal power to do anything he wants. Right?

Pretty much, yeah... so that's nice to know. Someone is above the law and it just happens to be our president. I think we should trust him!1

Think of it this way, if you had to choose between a nuclear bomb hitting a major city in whatever country you live in (which could be millions of people), or torturing a kid that had the conscience not to tell American officals the information they needed, which would you choose?
yet another tactic by the fanatics to justify harming a child. You guys always use some hypothetical scenario from some bruce willis movie.

well, what would be a better option?

how about truth serum or whatever the scientific name for it is? it's condemned by the international community as being unethical, but torture is way better.

someone make sense of this please.

and you know the real terrorists aren't going to get tortured...imagine if we had tortured cheney or rumsfeld or bush or rice before 9/11...

we could have stopped 9/11 from happening!
