    Help!!! Yellow leaves

Hey can some one please give me a suggestion or two. I have a drip hydro sysytem 1000 hps light 2 1/2 feet above canopy, temp gos from 71-80. humid around 30% I just went from 24 hour light to 19-5, i am going to start sexing soon. Ph was a bit low at 5.5, I raised it to 6.0. but the leaves continue to yellow. I have a few plants in the same system, and only one shows any sing of yellowing, but it is my biggest plant also. I am using general hydro nutes, for veg-micro-bloom, a combination of all three according to the directions on the bottle. Please help anyone......

I'm not to familiar with the ingredients in the G.H. nutes. If you read the label sometimes they will list exactly whats in it. Check to see if it has Mg, Ca, and also if it lists any sort of sulphate like magnesium sulfate for instance. Chances are one of these elements is too low, if not then your concentration maybe too low. If you have a PPM meter then check to see your exact concentration. Should be in the say 700 - 1200 range if you get a 400 - 600 reading then sometimes this is it. Also if your solution is more then say 3 weeks old then just change your solution sometimes this will do it.

Your plants need more nitrogen. It's hungry. The yellowing of leaves is a sure sign the plant is starving for nitrogen. Read the labels on your bottle and up the nitrogen a bit. It does help if you have a ppm meter. If you don't then just look at your plants and do some research on plant diseases and deficiency. Could also be a lack of iron , chlorosis.

    Gen sounds right-on.
Lack of nitrogen and old age causes yellowing.

It's true it could be Nitrogen deficiency but it could also be several others check your label and make sure it has the ones I listed. Sometimes they leave some of these out because they chemically bind with other ingredients. The most common one left totally out is calcium = CA above.

    Help!!! Yellow leaves

wow thanks guys, i will check the labels, adjusting the ph seems to be working out allright now, they have started to turn towards green again, now they are a very bright yellowish green. I do not have a ppm meter, when i can afford it i will get one. The water is only about 2 weeks old in there so it should be ok for a while, I am going to give my clones a few more weeks, then start the bloom. I'm sure you all know how excited i am, i have had 2 non producing crops, live and learn.. this will be my first harvest ever.. if every thing gos ok.

    Help!!! Yellow leaves

Update, all leaves retunring to normal, switching to 13-11 light cycle.....cross your fingures. clones will grow at a friends house. he just started his in to veg stage.

My last 2 try's didnt work because the first time, i had to move and they were outside, and doing so good. they had just started budding oout of four plants 3 where female...lol ironically the one male a just pulled up and gave to a friend, it is still alive, and almost 2 years old. , but i dug them up when i moved and put them indoors, i didnt know about light cycles, and left 24 hour light from 2 regular light bulbs..lol dumb huh. anyway, i couldnt figure out why the buds didnt get any bigger for 2 months, well only a little bit bigger not hardly at all though. well a person i know told me to put a lttle vitamin C on it, i think he ment B 1, but anyway like i said i knew nothing aboiut growing planst and PH and such, so i cut up a lemon into some water, and waterd the plants, needless to say 5 days later all dead. they few small buds were very tasty though. The econd time i was using wrong lights, and just stretched the plants way out. then i started reading on here about plants, and gecided to do it right, and got a good system and light.

How much lemon was in the lemon water? I didn't think a lemon would kill any plant. I've heard of someone dumping a soda on a poor plant and the plant dying. But a lemon?
