I bet that when they demonstrate it, when the guy (shown from the chest down) uses the solderer then immediately puts it on his fingertip to show it cools off instantly, I bet his face is all contorted and his eyes are buggin' n' shit 'cause it actually is still hot- that's why they only showed him from chest down.
