seedlings sprouted
okay guys, I planted 3 seeds in a germination tray 2 days ago in rockwool cubes. 1 has broken through about a quarter of an inch and is leaning over (like an L shape) the 2nd one appears to have pushed its shell to the surface and is getting ready to come through. the 3rd has done nothing. my question is,,,, when should I start giving them light? I have T5 floros 4 2' bulbs. and should I do something about the one thats in a L shape? I am guessing that when I turn the lights on it will straighten out.

lol.... the L shape actually turns out to be a set of leaves.....and the second one has popped all the way through and shucked its shell. this all happened in about an hour. I am fuckin amazed at the speed its growing, can't wait to take another peek. still wondering when should I turn on the lights.

If your just using flouro's then turn them on, could of had them on the whole time. Get them as close as you can.

okay, so I didn't know you could/should start the floros light even before they germed. but I took some advice from another forum wich basically said "after their long journey to sprout and break through that they are tired and give them light immediately" so I did. but my thinking was that they are so fragile, that I would put the light a safe distance away as not to startle or disrupt them so I put the light at 2' away and went to work for 6 hours. was bugging me the whole time because I have read on these posts that you do not want to make them stretch for the light when they are so young. So got home quick and adjusted the light now they are 6" away.

Hi mate!
Adjust your floros at 2"floros wont burn your seedlings at that distance!
I'll watch your thread as they're growing!
Good Luck & Happy Growing!
