Force Flowering Outdoors.
Sorry, I know I should have posted this in the outdoor section, but hardly anybody posts there. So here is my question I am located at about 58'N up in Scotland, the strains I will be using are Dutch Passion-Holland's Hope which has a flowering time of 8 Weeks, and Dutch Passion-Passion#1(Amstel gold) which has a flowering time of 6 weeks, now I was wondering if I started them Indoors mid may time and transplanted them at about the end of may early june time will I have to force flower the plants? Any advice given is greatly appreciated.

your in scotland?
1. why would you have to force flower? it is already getting dark early... 4pm or so..correct?
2. isn't it to cold for MJ outside in Scotland at this time of year..
3. Take flowers to SENSI's house and tell her they are from GK
thank you

You should follow the seed breeders reccomendations. They will specify Indoors,Outdoors or Greenhouse on pacake. (most of the time.) I'll look it up for you though. I can tell you right off the bat hollands hope is an outdoor variety. You could start them indoors and put them outside right when they leave seedling stage and enter vegetative growth.

You can move them to a totally dark room for 12 hours a day from outside if you want to force flowering. I've read a number of grow reports where people have done this. You just have to be able to make the commitment to move them at the same time every day.

Heh. I suppose, but all you need is a dark room. No need to bring them anywhere bugs would be an issue.

Thanks for the advice everyone, I can already tell that it's gonna be some task growing outdoors here, the only reason I cannot do it indoors though is my girlfriends dad is a cop and he sometimes visits and comes round to our place. I just hope to god everything works out ok.

OH, if you want to flower early you can do this.. I have seen 2 very succesful techniques.
1. bring the plants next to a building.. This will cast a shadow on the earlier in the day.
2. I saw a simple cloth barrier built around plants.. the cloth was GREEN...and blended well with the surroundings.. It was actually a mesh folded over a few times to prevent light from coming in..
both these methods allowed the plants to mature early... I would guess about 10-20 days faster
