What can you do? Read this, from NORML.

    What Can I Do?

One of the most common, and frustrating questions asked of NORML is: "When are the marijuana laws going to change?!"

    The answer is remarkably simple:

When you and all your like-minded friends and family members are actively educating and lobbying your elected officials to end marijuana prohibition.

Compared with the concerns of their voting constituents, elected officials and government agencies care far less about NORML's 32-year effort to reform marijuana laws. After all, elected officials, and the government agency administrators they appoint, derive their power from the will and consent of the voters.

Therefore, voters, like you, need to 1.) Stop electing politicians who increase the scope of marijuana prohibition and penalties therein, and 2.) Start electing politicians who favor marijuana law reform.

For far, far too long marijuana smokers and marijuana law reformers have remained politically invisible to their elected officials
    .

    This must immediately change.

If it is your strong desire that marijuana laws need to change, stop cursing the darkness and light a candle. Even if you never make a much-needed financial donation to NORML, you're still empowered with the ability to play a major role in ending marijuana prohibition.

There are bigger problems than weed. People vote for the slimy pawn that will supposedly make a difference to their lives in a security/financial/educational/traditional sense. If you grow up voting for the one politician that favors weed above all else it doesn't say much for you as a person.

I disagree with that reasoning B

*Weed would ease the suffering of millions.
*Improve all branches of the arts.
    *Education and technology would skyrocket.
*Hemp would save the earth herself!

This is easier said than done. And true legalization will never happen with Republicans in power. Then there's the sates that have decriminalized it to a certain extent. It's too bad that growing just about any quantity carries such heavy legal consequences though, while posession is less extreme. Seems to me that growing eliminates drug dealers and crime. Ah what a crappy country the USA is sometimes.

I'm sorry. I should've included that plant, in an enchanted forest, and it's surroundings.
