Return a harvested plant to veg? Comments?
REVEG. Sorry Johnny. My experience runs 36 years. Including research at Dutch Seed Banks. Why is REVEG better? Well I can get 6 crops a year from a plant with no loss of production. I guess you just arent taking care of the roots or you don't pay enough attention to flushing the salts out of the soil. Of course you don't have to take my word for it. Use a calculator. How long after you clone can you harvest? I can harvest, reset the lights for 7 days ( honest that's all it takes to reset the plants photoperiod) and start flowering again. The maximum amount of growth occurs during the first four weeks of flowering. So what gives more production, a six inch clone (wait a month to get it taller) or a three foot bush with well developed roots and clean hydroponic media. As a COMMERCIAL grower I document the production from every plant and discard the ones that drop off. Funny I have yet to discard one. Well you are entitled to your opinion, just don't try to spread BS among people learning the trade.
If you are growing keep track of your individual plants production and make your own decision. My son and I disagreed between cloning and REVEG and after three harvests he saw my point and our garden has been REVEG ever since. Why waste time growing roots? The roots are there just let the plant grow new buds, just as large and tasty. Hermafidites? Urban Legend. Take that to the Discovery Channel.
Please do your own research and don't take my word for it. Go to WWW.GROWWEED.COM for the BEST book on the subject, great pictures and more helpful hints in one place than any other single book.
Oh yes I do have a degree in Botany, funny how that works.......
