Sharon heavily sedated.
My prayers are with his family. This is a strong man who led his country from the heart. He fought for what he believed in with all his heart and soul and anybody can respect that. He has been on the frontline of the battle against islamo-fascism since day one and has never backed down. We should fight just as the israelis have , hard and dirty.

I have been to Israel a few times and I can assure you that people are not starving. Most families lived VERY well and plasma t.v.'s were standard. I still say the guy is a warrior who has been on the front lines for 30 years fighting his ass off. People should have been taking notes.

The man is a fat slob, and this stroke is his own fault.

The people that are going hungry in that area are not necessarily the "chosen" people, but I'm sure that you could find poverty-stricken Jews as well, if you left the tourist paths.

I agree the guy is a fat slob and that people like him bring it all on themselves.
Israel has a booming economy outside their military industry. Alot of ballers over there, straight up Capitalist pimps.

Funny, Pat Robertson would disagree with you. Do I detect a split in the republican ranks? Between the rational people and the lunatics, perhaps? Fat slob that he is/was, he was smart enough to realize that annexation of the west bank/gaza would lead to a "greater israel" with an arab majority. I wonder if his successor will be able to do the math.

I'm more concerned as how his successor is going to handle the Iranian situation.

A split in the ranks? Pat Robertson isnt looked at seriously in any Republican circles. He is a fringe element, like Chompsky or Howard Dean.

No circles, except the only ones which matter. While you may not take him seriously, GW does, which is perhaps more important. And I would bet he has more followers than can recognize the name of noam chomsky. As for howard dean, he has this bad habit, he keeps being right. It is far better politically to tell comforting lies than troubling truths. This is bush's political genius, as it was clinton's. Look 'em dead in the eye, and lie to 'em, they're stupid, they'll fall for it eight days a week.
