Why just not beleiving in what your own reason think is right?

If everybody would do that and not beleive blindly in what they have been taught or what they read in a certain book, I think the world would be way better.

I mean for christ sake, why would you be almost forced to hate homosexual because you are christian, to think god created us all and that we are not the result of a long evolution, etc

I mean Jesus can't you beleive in what you think is right. Why would I be againt homosexuals because I am christian? I mean Bible has been wrote thousands of years ago. In this period everyone wanted to find answers to their questions. No need to say they found all their answers creating a god and talking for him. Everyone know apes evoluated and became humans as we know them. 2000 years ago they did not know that. Of course they invented something.

Now we are in fuckin 2006, please beleive in your own reason and judgment. Just stop beleive anything you read. I see a lot of beleivers here claiming we need to erase homsexuality, thus they are for weed. But a "respectable" christian would never smoke this bad drug directly related to hell no? Why is it like this? "Because god said it".

It is because our "logic" and what we "think is right" is so absolutely corrupted by evil that we can't rely on just whatever comes to our mind to believe. Christianity has answered that question for me by giving me an origin to where evil came from, and the right way to "get back to God". period.

Our earth right now is in no way shape or form the way it's supposed to be. Same goes with people. We are not made for evil, and yet we indulge in it.

Homosexuality was somethign I had a hard time understanding. "Why would God discriminate against gays?" Well...first of all he doesn't discriminate at all against anyone, only sin. If sin is something that can't be around at the same time as God, than naturally to be with God we would have to lose our sin. Homosexuality is a sin, but not "just because", but if you really think it through you'll ask yourself how could homosexuality be a GOOD thing...I'm that far, I still don't see where it's bad except that it's not good.

Organized religion is bullllllll SHIT. Believe what YOU want to believe, and what YOU believe is right! Putting blind faith in the hands of other men (writers of the sacred texts), is NOT a sign of intelligence! You recycle your prayers, recycle your written beliefs, CREATE NEW ONES! If you happen to really be Christian, and believe that Jesus was God, then so be it! Don't go to church speaking the minds of others, stay at home and pray to Jesus! Tell him what YOU think, and what YOU feel, not what the writers of the Gospels or the Psalms or the Prayers want you to think and feel!

I'm sorry but if everyone in the world created a religion that suited them...k I'll stop there...listen to that. The "right religion" (if there is one) is essentially the "right answer to the question". Are you with me here? Ok, now what would happen if everyone created an answer based on what served THEM. We are truley a corrupt and self-centered people as it is, let alone if this mindset dominated our religious life.

I agree that you shouldn't put blind faith in the hands of other men (including those in the scientific community), but the thing is; I prayed to God to give me something, a guide if you will, to life. I prayed to know the answers and it led me straight (and I emphasize straight) to christianity. And you know what? It was only after I became a christian that I could accurately criticize my own beliefs. I don't believe in christianity because OTHER people tell me to, I believe in it because it has that "twist" to it that only real things have. From front to back it's the directions given to a lost race trying to get back to God. Every question I have about my life so far I have found has been experienced in some incarnation or another by someone in the bible.

I didn't feel like quoting your whole post because I like to keep mine as short as possible but you also mentioned that christianity has shown you the origin of evil but being a none believer I think the origin of evil is us but more specific would be our brains... we created evil so we would know what's good.
