Some small some big to early to start to bloom?

hey all I have a question, i have a few good plants going, and few not so good, well they are fine just havent had enought time they are a few weeks younger then the larger ones., i need to start sexing my plants that are ready, they few are now about 7 or 8 inches tall, can i begin sexing now, or should i wait 2 weeks, i am running out of room highth wise....

and on a side note, Sonic Bloom works great, comparing my plants to some others i have seen, and on this site, they are larger and and growing faster. I have measured a 4 inch growth in all larger plants in the last 6 days. from what my books says, thats great, it says that 1/4 inch a day is good in optimal conditions, Mine are going about 3/4 a day.

What you can do is try to tie down your other plants and wait for the other ones to grow in, or in other words:

Bend your older plants so that hieght is no longer an issue; leave the small ones to grow and when they are ready you can start to flower them. I'm sure TriCreator or GKnowm might have something better to suggest but that is my suggestion.

You can top the taller ones to slow growth temperaraly while the others catch up.

i think i will try to tye them down, I might be just a bit anxious to start the blooming. the taller ones are allready very bushy, I am afraid if i top them they will get too bushy and fight for light. they are in a pre-made hydro system, and I dont have alot of room between plants, so bushy might not work as well. thanks alot

and, as far as your 4 inch growth...are you stretching and not developing rootmass?
If the foliage grows that fast you could be sacrificing root structure.

what lights are you running and how far above plant canopy are they?

there is no stretching, these are some of the bushiest plants I have ever seen, i will post pics soon, no stretching, using 1000 HPS light only a little over 2 1/2 feet above plants... trust me no stretching, very bushy. I will try to get some pics taken to post.... but thank you.... I made that mistake last time, and thanks to an artical on here i realized i wasnt doing it right, so i got a book a good light and hydro system, now I am just way excited. thanks again

    So 2 1/2 feet is a good distance for a 1000w HPS?

I started it at 2 feet, but it got a bit to warm, so i moved it up just a bit, I am still new to this, but it seems to be working very well, my gave instructions that between 2 - 2 1/2 feet above is a good distance for a 1000 watt bulb, he was talking about metal halide lamps though, i am not sure if one is hotter then the other
