try it and see...once the pod gets milked it shrivels and dies off. only way to get seed is leave the pods untouched.

btw, this is only a novelty kind of thing and unless one plants acres and acres of the stuff all you'll have is a few grams at any one time, at most. but the flowers are nice and for a couple weeks you'll have plenty of color as long as you mix your strains (there are far more than one p. somnif's).

It's a simple question about harvesting. I've heard, that picking off the fan leaves, like, a week before harvest, speeds up the flushing process...is this true?

I ask because I am nearing a little cut down here in about 7days. I have flushed very heavily 3 times now, you think that's enough to get all that fert out of there?

I personally would never cut the compound leaves off. For the last 2 or 3 days I deprive my plants of water and use a nutrient flush.

After lancing, the drained poppy pods dry up, and are harvested for the seeds

so yeah, thanks for the site del... i am buying some Thai Opium White Poppy Seeds - 3 grams so like 3500 seeds. think people we could start a revolution with opium growing EVERY where. but they would have "anti opium" plant killer squads...unlesswe armed them with a stoner army. and no, its not like Counter Strike.
