I'm ordering lights tomorrow...
I have looked around for a little while now and have decided on these.

What wattage are you going to order the Metal Halide?
I see that the HPS will be 600W... nice.
What space will you use these lights in?

TIP: I think you could wait until after tomorrow to be sure you're ordering what you want/need. I can only imagine the urge you have to start growing... but, if you can, give some time to other boards members to respond... so we can find the best solution for your situation.

Wow, that shits exspensive... I usually will buy a commerial light/ballast and tear it apart adding a 8 foot cord for light fixure.

i "was" planning on getting both 600W .....

I have been waiting and waiting....but any help or advise at all is greatly appreciated! and you wouldn't believe how eager I am to start

....Yeah it's quite expensive....but ive saved up more than enough so that I can get a decent set up that would last me a long time...

The area i will be growing in is 4ft by 4ft and about 8ft high....do you think these lights are too powerful for such a small area??
I have asked before and they said the area is perfect for growing but I never actually asked if 600W would be too powerful for the plants.

I know i would get very hot in there with 600. I am sorting out cooling system thought id do it while waiting for the lights to come down...

as I said before any infomation or advise is greatly appreciated

For heat, you should build a cool tube... you can install that reflector over it.

As to if it's too much light, I doubt it. I plan on running 1000 Watts (400MH + 600HPS) in a cabinet with a footprint of 20inches x 40inches.

As to buying high quality equipment that will last you a long time, GREAT IDEA!

I forgot to say...im growing at home which is why its a small grow to start with...(going to start with some lowryder to get things started....so i atleast have some weed while im waiting for my other plant to be ready) but i'm moving out next year....so i will have a much larger space to grow in then.....which is why i also wanted a powerful light....even though i will probly purchase another one when i move...

Guess I should explain that huh? Your better off going 400 Watt or 1000 Watt. 600 Watts are not cabable of using MH bulbs at all. Also for this reason you can't buy switchable 600 Watt ballasts.

Yeah I think this will be my best option...as I will have a larger grow space in few months.
