the prices don't vary much, you'll just have to look around.

they don't prevent the smell 95%, but probably do about 70% and the smell is much different from smoke, as well as MUCH easier to get rid of. generally an open window for a few minutes does the trick.

they work by heating the machine up, then putting the bud in the tray. it'll heat the bud enough to make the active chemicals come into the air in a vapor, but not heat it enough to cause combustion. combustion is what's responsible for the tar and carcinogens that causes cancer and all those other fun ailments.

I have a simple $85 (the cheapest) vaporizer and I'm happy enough with it, though it took a few uses before I got used to the feeling. the "volcano" is supposed to be the best, but they can be as high as $700.

they don't prevent smell 95%, maybe by like 60-70%.

if you buy one i HIGHLY suggest the "vaporbros vaporizor" it looks like a pencil sharpenr at first glance but once plugged in illuminates a blue/green color.

ok first of all THC(the stuff that gets you lifted) burns at a much much lower temp then the cannibis plant itself. therefore someone created a tool that heats the bud up just enough to extract the THC and leave the plant itself unburned. so there is practically NO smoke, just a small vapor cloud that disipates rather quickly. you can smoke the plant afterwards if you like but i prefer not to as it doesn't last as long(the high) and tastes like ass.

if you get a vape you need to buy a grinder aswell unless u like tearing bud up manually in to very very small pieces. you can toss whole nugs in the grinder though, stems and all because u wont taste the stems in the vape, just the esscense of the plant

i love my vape and it has been very difficult to smoke a bong or anything else since i got it. i LOVE not coughing. just make sure u have H2O handy, for some reason cottonmouth is 10x worse with a vaporizor...

my vaporbros vaporizor cost me $160, but it comes with a 2yr warranty and is great quality. they even have upgrade parts to make it glass on glass and everything :P

some reason cottonmouth is 10x worse with a vaporizor...

I think that's just you or some people, it gets rid of cotton mouth 100% for me.

hehe vaporizors give you a different high, alot more outgoing...

its not a lesser high by any means, in fact, you use less to get high then with smoking bowls

I've had three vaporizers and the one I'm using now is the Vapor Brothers. The first one I had was the BC Vaporizer ($50) and it didn't work all that well. It did get me high but didn't seem too efficient and used a lot of weed. The Vapor Brothers cost 3 times as much but uses much less weed. I'm sure after a couple months I've more than made up for the extra cost in weed savings.
