I plant my seeds directly in the soil. I make a little pocket ( about 1 inch in diameter) and fill that with vermiculite. This holds a lot of moisture around the seeds and when the root breaks free it doesnt have far to go untill it finds the good stuff.

I know a lot of growers use the paper towl method but since I hardly ever have a problem getting my seeds to germinate I stick with what works for me. I just don't like the idea of handling the seeds after they have germinated.

I keep my seeds at 75F for germination

Hope this helps
