hi all, i got a problem. About a month ago i bought seeds off the internet
10 male and 10 female i took them out of their containers and was showing
my brother. i put them back but took out one of the males and planted it in a pot and stuck it on the windowsill it didnt grow much but after a few weeks if you rubbed your fingers on the stem and smelled them it was quite skunky.
any way that one died so i planted a female the weather was a lot better so it grew a lot bigger and better its about a month old so i rubbed my fingers on the stem and nothing. So now im thinking did i accidentally swap the seeds round? the female were a £100 the male were £30
1 packet of seeds are light in colour
and the other are dark if this helps
did i swap them

First of all don't be rubbing your greasy fingers all over them, that is what killed your male...

Secondly if your a month into growing you should be almost sat the flowering stage and you will be able to tell if it is male or female. Post pics to clarify but know that if you have a plant that has little balls growing on it it is male, and if the balls have two white strands sticking out it's female.

nah i wasnt bothered about the male cuz im waiting on a hydroponics kit so i thought id plant a less valuable male and just stuck him in the window to see what would happen. he died and as i said the weather got better so i planted what i thought was a female it is about 3 inches high with about 12 shitty little leaves the male was the same height with less leaves if this is any help
its not worth posting pictures
i just wanted to know for when i get my hydro kit
