Question about a weird thing that happened to me....
Hey Sweet Little Sister:
I think the advice you're getting here is good. Listen to Starchild. Natural remedies are the way to go and a regular MD (doctor) aint gonna go for them because he gets kickbacks from the pharmaceuticals to peddle prescription drugs.
T3's= Tylenol 3's. Pain killers of the serious kind. I took one too many and was like a pinball in a pinball machine bouncing off the walls.
Just remember, whatever you put in your body will mix with everything else and produce some kind of reaction. Some good, some bad, depends on the mix.
I was told to take SSRI's (mood disorder drugs) like Celexa, prozac, etc. but I can't and won't because of their serious side effects. I found a low dose of St. John's wort is fine for me. St. John's wort apparently contains some prozac according to my doctor. Starchild, as a naturopath, could confirm that for me. My point is, sometimes (most times) doctors prescribe medicines in too high a dosage for people. Sometimes, a much lower dose is all that is needed. This point is made clear in an episode of the original Star Trek in which Doctor McCoy figures that out for a patient.
Me, I take my St. John's Wort (300mg) daily, smoke weed (for migraines and depression), take an Ecanasia for the onset of a cold and maybe an occasional aspirin for pain. I take Gripe Water for an upset stomach. That's it! I am very careful about mixing these medicines by not taking them too close together before the body properly digests each of them. If I have acid indigestion, I take a teaspoon of vinegar. Not pepto bismol or Tums. The vinegar works far better.
If you like reading, get a book called "The Medical Mafia" by Dr. Guylaine Lanctot. It will change your mind completely about pharmaceutical medications. If your doctor is not into natural health remedies - switch doctors. It's your body and yours to look after not your doctor's. Your doctor is there to do what you want not what they want. Get informed. Using this forum is a good start.
