weird germination

i am germinatin some seeds and after a day or two in the jar they begin to swell open and sprout a lil tail. when i transfer them to the wet paper towel and check em the next day, the seeds are unsprouted again like fresh seeds. did this ever happen to anyone before or anyone ever hear of some shit like this happening? let a bro know you know. :rasta:

One time in like 2nd grade we put lima beans from a bag in wet paper towels and after like a week they started sprouting and stuff and then we planted them.

I dunno how that's really related..it was cool though.

Maybe they're shy seeds.

was the paper towel dry or something?
I cant imagine a reason other than insuffiecient moisture and they dried and died.

they probly dry out and just wither back into the shell or somthing?

why are you changing where they are?...why dont you just pot them when they sprout?

Just place them in a moist paper towel right away, and wait from there!
