Dude, you could live in the South Pole, but if you don't exchange the air in your grow room, the temperatures will soar until it's like a very nice crispy oven.
As to intake fans, I see your noise situation, but if you don't give those plants fresh air, they're going to be strapped for life. You need FRESH air... even if it's a passive intake.

If you want little noise/no-noise, what you can do is buy a big mofo fan... like a Dayton 465 or something... then, run it much slower... it won't produce nearly as much noise.
Maybe you can design a passive intake/exhaust... intake: tube connected to outside on the lowest part of the attic. Exhaust, tube connected to the outside on the highest part of the attic. Still, I think you should get a fan.

turtle420 Reviewed by turtle420 on . Help me choose a light!!! I have a 8x6 space that I want to grow in in my attic. It is also 7 feet tall. This will be my 2nd grow. I'm only planning on using 7x5 space because I want to be able to move around in the space i am growing. I have one BIG criteria that I have though when setting up my room, NO NOISE AT ALL. By that, I mean no huge blower fans, inline fans, loud ballasts, etc. I may be able to run a small fan on a low setting but that's about as much noise as I can have. I've already got the space light Rating: 5
