Don't be yourself and put on some elaborate bullshit routine of special touching and magic words, it might get you somewhere, but only because the girl is flattered you care enough to be someone completely different for her.

You're right about one thing though, just being yourself won't get you all the chicks you could ever want. Especially if yourself is someone that isn't societally perfect. But, the chicks you have to fake it for, you don't really want in the long run. You can't spend your whole life faking it for someone who doesn't like the real you, eventually you have to end the relationship that doesn't have YOU in it, but a character you created. And that's a really painful ordeal in my experience, generally not worth it unless you were just in it for a lay and a leave.

If you just want to fuck some girls at night clubs, by all means, don't be yourself. No girl wants to know they're the disposable night club one night stand that they are. Your elaborate faking real routines will probably confuse them into believing the possibility that they are really special to you, long enough to get you laid anyway.
