I never noticed that there were this many cannabinoid receptors in your brain.
Brain Region Functions Associated With Region
Brain regions in which cannabinoid receptors are abundant
Cerebellum - Body movement coordination
Hippocampus - Learning and memory
Cerebral cortex, especially cingulate, frontal, and parietal regions - Higher cognitive functions
Nucleus accumbens - Reward
Basal ganglia
* Substantia nigra pars reticulata
* Entopeduncular nucleus
* Globus pallidus
* Putamen - Movement control
Brain regions in which cannabinoid receptors are moderately concentrated
Hypothalamus - Body housekeeping functions (body temperature regulation, salt and water balance, reproductive function)
Amygdala - Emotional response, fear
Spinal cord - Peripheral sensation, including pain
Brain stem - Sleep and arousal, temperature regulation, motor control
Central gray - Analgesia
Nucleus of the solitary tract - Visceral sensation, nausea and vomitingbeachguy in thongs Reviewed by beachguy in thongs on . No Way!
Nor did I and I didn't realise they were spread all over the brain aswell....
thats some crazy shit!
I suppose in a way if you read which part of the brain it effects and what that part does, you kinda notice that it does actually effect alot of areas of the brain....in noticable ways aswell.
I don't know if that made much sense....ill read through again in a little bit.

It's funny, because over the weekend, I asked a man in his forties (who works for a top laboratory, Ross & Abbott Labs) and his son (engaged, daughter) if they've ever heard of cannabinoid receptors in their brain. The older man said he knew there were receptors but didn't know they were called Cannabinoid receptors and his son said, "No, way. That would mean, like, God made us to smoke pot."
It was on successive nights.
