Question about SCROG and Last-Minuite SCROG

I've been reading about SCROG, but what's not clear to me is:

I read that you let them grow up thru the screen 3-4", then pull them under the screen, repeat. But at some point do you allow the plants to grow vertical through the screen? IOW on the last day before harvest, are all the buds running horizontally and beneath the screen? [or with only 3" tips sticking out of the screen].
    It's hard to picture.

Question 2: I don't have a screen yet, the plants are already 3 feet tall. So, thinking of bending them 90 degrees so the canopy is only 1 1/2 feet high instead of 3 feet [like now]. Then placing a screen over them to hold them like that.
Last-minuite Screen of Green. Then try and arrange them along the screen, prune away some undergrowth, lower the lights, etc.
Does that sound like a good idea? I wonder if I'd get the same yield as if I'd started out doing SCROG (they're only 3 weeks into 12/12).
    :rasta: Any SCROGgers out there?

Question about SCROG and Last-Minuite SCROG

    Hey dude,
My experience with a SCRoG is limited to 0. Nada. Zip. Zilch.
But anyways, here are my thoughts:
    1. With SoG or SCRoG, you train your plants constantly. I don't think it has to be 3" above the screen to start bending. Just, as soon as you can "web" your plant and it's branches into the screen, you start with it. Plants are pretty tought mother fuckers. I've LSTed mine, and they end up being completely horizontal... and withing 24 hours, they've grown in a 90degree angle and are pointing upwards. Just do it little by little.
    2. I don't know if you want to LST/SoG/SCRoG them so late in their life. When you start SCRoG from the beginning, you end up with many bud site, all at the same height (more or less). The main cola, is actually, one of the crappiest bud nuggets. You bend all the fan leaves below the screen, so only the buds and their leaves receive the precious light.

Not sure about your situation... just my 3 cents.

    Best,

Question about SCROG and Last-Minuite SCROG

    Thanks,

I wonder if the buds come out weird. They get light along a longer section of branch, but the buds only get light on one side and none on the other. Are they tight on one side [the up side] and fluffy on the other [downward] side??
